About the Role We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer - Level 2 to join a high-performing Managed Services environment supporting a diverse portfolio of Australian clients. This role is ideal for a technically strong infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, supporting critical systems, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will work across cloud, networking, virtualization, security, and systems administration while collaborating closely with engineering and service delivery teams in a fast-paced environment. With a globally distributed team and a collaborative working culture, the company provides an environment where technical professionals can continue to grow and make meaningful contributions. country: LK all locations: [Colombo] commitment: Full Time department: location: Colombo team: IT Ideal Profile: Technical Experience Strong background in infrastructure engineering and Managed Services environments Extensive experience supporting Microsoft technologies including Office 365, Exchange, Active Directory, and SCCM Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware and Hyper-V Solid networking knowledge covering firewalls, routers, switches, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless technologies Experience administering and supporting cloud services including Azure and Entra ID Exposure to cybersecurity best practices, infrastructure reliability, and data protection standards Experience with VoIP systems, SIP services, VPNs, RDS environments, and remote support tools Familiarity with backup systems, patch management, and enterprise maintenance activities Experience working with PSA, RMM, and ticketing platforms such as ConnectWise, Atera, or Autotask Certifications & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology discipline Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, AWS, Cisco, Sophos, VMware, or Veeam certifications are highly regarded Soft Skills Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong documentation practices Ability to work effectively across multicultural and distributed teams Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and professionalism Adaptable and capable of managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support junior engineers Responsibilities: Advanced Technical Support Handle Level 2 and escalated technical incidents across desktops, servers, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments Support and maintain networking infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, and security devices Administer and support VoIP systems and SIP services Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, server upgrades, patching, health checks, and system optimization Implement and maintain enterprise backup solutions across infrastructure and cloud environments Provide remote technical support using RMM and ticketing systems Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain accurate documentation of technical work, system changes, and resolutions within ticketing platforms Contribute to internal knowledge bases and process improvement initiatives Update network diagrams and infrastructure documentation Support and mentor Level 1 engineers where required Project Support Assist with infrastructure upgrades, Office 365 migrations, endpoint deployments, and network implementations Support project planning and implementation activities alongside project leads Configure endpoints, servers, applications, and user environments across client infrastructures Operational & Security Responsibilities Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and compliance standards when handling client systems and data Follow best practices around access control, documentation, and infrastructure management Support service delivery operations and contribute to team-wide initiatives when required Assist with ongoing improvements to infrastructure reliability, security, and operational efficiency How we take care of our team: : 💰 Get paid in Australian Dollars🏥 Medical insurance from day one for you + spouse (or parents if unmarried)🩺 Generous OPD coverage from doctor visits to all your medical needs🏡 Home office setup allowance to build your ideal workspace🌐 Internet allowance to keep you connected💪 Gym & wellness allowance to stay fit and balanced🎉 Work hard, play hard – regular team events & engagement activities🧠 Diji Assist – Mental health & counseling support when you need it📚 We invest in you – reimbursement for industry certifications🗣️ Open-door culture – your ideas and feedback always matter🌍 Flexible work – home or office, wherever you do your best work🏆 Rewards & recognition that actually recognize you🥳 Great christmas & financial year-end parties to unwind with your loved ones
